Ecofriendly Africa Initiative (EFAI) is a non-profit organization founded in 2020 and based in Nigeria. It is a network of young people dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities across Africa in adapting to the challenges of climate change and conflict.
With a network of over 100 young leaders across 43 countries in Africa, EFAI has various working groups that form the structure of the organization.
These include the Climate Peace and Security Working Group, Energy Working Group, Advocacy Working Group, Capacity Building Working Group, and Research Working Group.
Our organization truly believes that by working together, we can save more lives than ever before.
We believe that empathy must inspire action. At EFAI, compassion is at the heart of everything we do, motivating us to address the pressing challenges faced by vulnerable communities. Through our programs and initiatives, we don’t just recognize the struggles of those affected by climate change and conflict—we actively work to provide solutions, restore hope, and create meaningful change.
True progress comes from within. That’s why we prioritize equipping individuals and communities with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to tackle their challenges independently. Whether through capacity-building workshops, advocacy training, or clean energy solutions, we focus on fostering resilience and empowering people to lead their own sustainable development
We envision a world where every voice matters and no one is left behind. EFAI is committed to creating equitable opportunities for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status. By promoting diversity and ensuring inclusion in all our activities, we strive to build a fairer and more harmonious society where everyone can contribute to and benefit from a sustainable future.
